That first link looks good. The only reason I went with the Toyota box was price. Yeah the steering shaft should line up & fit straight onto a defender steering column, easy to make & weld those brackets to hold the box & you don't need to mod the front Xmember like I did. If I was to do it again I'd do it the same way as long as I could get the parts cheap enough plus you won't have to X-ray anything as it should be pretty much a bolt on except the brackets welded for the box. The steering shaft will be collapsible being modern usually. Just means it's 2 piece slides inside one so much easier. Yeah I'd go for that. The only concern I can see is the pitman arm. Arm at the bottom of the box , being straight you will just have to make sure when the balljoint is on that it doesn't hit the bottom of the chassis but you can either tilt the box or notch the chassis. Yeah that be easier & quicker conversion to do. & the drag link will need to be shortened to suit the series track. To easy if you have all the parts I'd say a weekend in the shed would get it done. Yes I quiet like that setup.

Just thought I better let everyone know where still here & alive. Karens liver is still playing up just not as bad. She is still banged up from the accident & these tablets she has to take are really taking there toll on her. She has driven a couple of times on her own now & seems ok about it. I am still here wasting oxygen , sic of a lot of things & just finding getting outa bed each day hard. I have been drinking quiet heavy of late only had one yesdy & none today which is ok cause I started to want to drink from when I got up so ally's good there. We are waiting for a removal mob to come & pickup the Subaru , was hoping to get here today but hopefully tomorrow they give us $100 for it. But I keeping the battery out of it as it's only a month old. Ah well that's were we are at.

Ok another update . Karen is now down to 1 5m pregnazone a day now finishes around Thursday.. Down fall to these drugs is bad the side effects are terrible & Karen had most of them , BUT now that she is getting off them its worse Had to get her to the doctors on Saturday as Friday night she was in extreme pain in the guts cold sweats ended up having to strip naked & lay on the bathroom floor to cool down & its been like this every night since BUT today she started to get them during the day just after lunch..The doctor said yes its all from the pregnazone & coming off them.
When the specialist put Karen on them he never said anything about then except just take them we are very ****ed off with the specialist , Karen was hoping to get back to work this week but not now .. The doctor told us to take 1 pannadole every 4 hours , Which wont be doing Karens liver any favours.. So once she gets this all out of her system we will vertualy be back to square one with the liver & kidneys.Her liver has gone down a little but now with stoping these tablets its just going to go back to what it was & pannadole wont help at all other then it makes the pain a little easier for Karen but not that much.. Ahwell we will just start all over again I guess..

I have been working on the camper the last 2 days . I have taken the camper off & removed everything camper off it so its just a trailer . Will get it registered soon & we can use it plus if we ever get to go away we can throw everything in that instead of loading the car up. Plus can take the pig & other stuff then..Trailer is all painted inside now & has brandnew lights on it just need to take it for a blue slip since its been unregistered for a bit to long.. other then that not much to report from here..

I mite sell the camper top not sure seen one on ebay secondhand missing some stuff & only sold for $325 , ours is complete & has the base ..Dunno yet , its just sitting on the back of Harry for now..

Well Karens pains are back & she is doubled over in extreme pain & theres nothing I can do for her..

Im worried about her & these pains . I just hope it is the drugs doing this to her & not something sinister.

Well, youngest daughter has moved out. No problem, she was hardly here any how. Now living at Cardiff, not far from you Jason, just over near the Primary School in Russell St.:D

Sorry to hear that Karen is having a bad time of it, is she driving regularly now or still only occasionally.

Everything OK here, get up in the morning go to work drive a bus go home have tea go to bed then get up go to work drive a bus go home have tea go to bed then get up go to work drive a bus...............you get the picture!!!:p

She is ok driving but doesn't drive to much as she gets tired so I have been running her around or Fred does..

Yeah that's not a bad street people ok over there we know a few people from that street..

Is she on her own there Jim.. the end of the street that we lived theres a house second from the corner on the left going from our old place . Tell the daughter to be carefull of him & stay away from him . He is nothing but trouble . Drug dealer & user & often goes people for no reason at all . He tried to intimidate our kids by swerving for them if they where walking in that's street & other kids & adults . I swerved for him in the green one its just he was sitting on the front steps so drove on footpath :D. He is a bad bastard.Halfway up there from our old place one of the guys from the tattoo shop lives there, nice bloke & he looks after that end of the street & the dickhead when hes home anyway..
