but if you browse Op shops for books you can get cheap good reads.

So that's it.. Fired it up today & boy did it fill the shed with smoke , from the paint , it is the rite paint just needs to burn in.. When I put it back together there was is gaps down each corner so I filled those with epoxy metal. Didn't do around under the top plate but will have to as there is smoke getting out there. & gee does the flu get hot I touched it & burnt myself..It put off some good heat though so I think it will be just fine. I also want to fit some mesh in the bottom of the chimely & at the top for any stray embers cause nextdoors garage is right next to the top of the flu & its very old so I will be playing it safe..
If you do collect your own firewood in the bush [Land rovers are for the bush] you will all be able to cook in that shed on that terrific Pot Belly. Ours has not been installed yet. It has two hotplates. Idea was to save on electricity when cooking & heating house in winter. We have lots of trees [including dead ones] on our place.

They showed actual photos & footage ..then went onto the gas chambers & the death trains & how the Germans made more importance on the death trains then they did of there trains with munitions. There is noway on this earth that any modern day person could know or feel what our soldiers went threw in those 2 wars. They had a doco on the rats of turbrook I didn't see that but I taped it. Had interviews with survivors. The Germans where very very cruel & I can't understand how one person (Hitler) could get a whole country to follow him. & as for the Jews I think that was just a hitler hate for Jews nothing else. Although in the end Hitler showed his true colours. COWARD. Took his own life rather then face anyone.

Yeah I like history specially Australian & war .
Hitler was a real nut case beside the Jews. He had occult books on his bedside table when he committed Suicide showing how insane he was. But I will get into trouble from Inc if I start a discussion on that, so wont say more.

I don't buy books just based on price, I buy them because I am interested in a particular subject. If it is an Op shop so be it, I bought a couple of books on railways, second hand recently because I am interested in steam trains and I come across these in a second hand store. Although they are 30 years old, they had all the information I required and only cost a few dollars each

I also use the local library quite regularly. You guessed it, I like to read.

p.s. By the way John, the price you see on those books is not what I payed, they are the original price stickers.

    Hello Jim,

Good to hear that Jason is okay - not so good to hear that there Karen is not doing so well ... yet.

I had a job interview for one of two job vacancies with the same organisation yesterday at 1:00 pm. I found out today that I had missed out on both opportunities.

Originally back in early February I applied for a job with the organisation and had two interviews for the role. I was then offered the job informally - dependent upon my three referees. One referee was contacted then did not hear from the organisation for over a week. Then I received a telephone call where they decided they wanted to upgrade the role to a senior one and I had to reapply all over again. I did so and the interview was yesterday.

Within 30 minutes of being told I was unsuccessful I found at least 5 jobs on the internet that are within my skill set to apply for.

    When one door closes...

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

    G'Day Lionel,
Yeah mate, keep at it. You will eventually get a door that stays open, it is harder to get a job when you are older particularly if you have a disabillity but if you keep punching away you will eventually succeed. Don't give up mate.

Look at me, I applied for a job a few years back at the age of 65 and got it, nobody was more surprised than me, I can tell you.

Yep where still here. Where just living day by day..Still recovering from the accident financialy but where still going & theres food on the table & the bills are paid. Our TV blew up so we had to replace it ended up getting finance its a 50 inch a bit big but was a good deal..I feel a little better now still not the best but getting there..

The concerns with Karen are the new tablets she is on, She doesn't have anything that they are for , There a cancer treatment with bad side effects & we don't know why he has put her on them.these tablets are to replace the steroids which she is weening off now but will take 5 to 6 weeks to do. She has put some weight back on which im glad for though Karen doesn't like it.The new tablets cause week bones which isn't good for Karen as she only has to trip over her own feet & breaks an ankle easy cause of her past dancing. They also cause appertite lose hair lose & that has started for Karen she is loosing lots of hair everyday way way more then normal.he has to have 3 more blood tests she is going to try get one done tomorrow while she is down the road as she has a doctors appointment for me .The medication I am on is getting so hard to get & we have brought up everything we could in Newcastle & lake Macquarie , It took us weeks & weeks to deside & agree to these tablets as most of the drugs for Agoraphobia are very strong & have bad side effects & very addictive so the appointment is to see what we mite be able to change to ..Karen is also still getting very tired & sleeps for about 3 hours a day of an afternoon.. She wont take time off work at all.. She only has to be out for an hour shopping & is buggered. She has had today & tomorrow off as todays job the people are full up with the flue & tomorrow the lady had a cleaning frenzy on Sunday cause she was bored..The tablets are called Puri-nethol that Karen is on..

Ive just realised why I have all the adds & popups I haven't renewed my subscription .. I also have been on face page a fair bit as I am apart of the addmin for a site & page called Prepared Planet its a prepers site , Im not really a preper but I like the way of life as some of the things they do can be put into practice around the house in everyday. Im on there for the survival part & bush craft.. Anyone else here on face page other then young Tony with all his pics of the young ladies he hangs with .

Other then that not much is going on here. Oh Karen is taking her new tablets with her tomorrow to ask our doctor what the hell there for..
I know im starting to get tired with fred starting at 5.30 most mornings we wake with her elephatites through the house at 4.30 then up to get Cody up & ready so he can get a lift with Karen to school as he starts at 8 a fair bit .. Then its washing & doing all sorts through the day then getting T.. Im saving to buy a Hennesy Hammock The experdition zip asym..Oh & a warm sleeping bag Then I mite have a nice quiet nite out the back ..

As for Harry I haven't done anything other then strip one of the new fender doors . I really need to get those front brackets which ive pretty much given up on as ive asked a few people on here that mite be able to help only to never hear from them .

The kids are still KIDS driving me insane .
I fixed the roof on the shed today as it leaked where the flu went through. Should be all good now . Probably find out tonight with the predicted rain..

The lump on Karens leg from the accident is still there & still tender also still has a very sore left shoulder. She also has new glasses as she had to have them tested again & now the left eye had to be bumped up 2 stages so they getting pretty thick. She found a realy nice dear pair of Alex perry glasses in the carpark down the road so she took them with her & had her new lenses fitted to them..Finders Keepers she said.

Hey Jim I asked the Kids about that bus on Mile road last Saturday they haven't heard anything either so they a really keeping it hush hush..We usualy hear just about everything that goes on around here.. Also jim if you get the time could you post a pic of that book Times Past..

    Well I think that's everything...
