Actually I remember the EH Holden very well indeed. When I first saw them I thought they looked very modern and very American.

I think the EH was one of the best looking Holdens ever brought out by GMH!!!

IMHO it was the best they ever built..I love the shape of them..& the HR was the first holden to have seatbelts fitted as the standards where all changed in 1966 the same year as the HR..

Yep, the HR was another goodun' I remember trying to buy a HR second hand back in the 70's, they wanted $1500 for a goodun' and I couldn't afford it , so I bought a HD with a 149 motor for $1290. The HD was in top condition and it served me well, but it doesn't compare to a HR!!

Mate, my first car was my favourite, had it for nearly 10 years, it was in immaculate condition when I sold it (needed some work on the motor) and I regret it to this day because the new owner flogged the daylights out of it within six months of buying it, I literally cried when I saw it.

What was it............It was an FJ Holden in a two tone green colour........boy I wish I hadn't sold it. But, I needed money to buy the HD!!

I eventually traded the HD in on a Holden HQ Station Wagon, terrible car, I finished up writing it off when I went to sleep out near Toronto and went of the road, rolled it and wrote it off, lucky I wasn't killed, I was knocked out and when I recovered, I crawled out through the windscreen. The HQ was upside down!!

We had an interesting day today

There was a call from a Vic member with turbo trouble, few phone calls and the nanocom he was after, sorted

A drive with him to get it and it turns he needs a new MAF for his D2a

While away a friend turned up collecting parts we previously arranged, his mate is brand new to the forum which we welcomed the other day

Another day in the life around here

I sold the yellow series one and now i just need to get rid of the blue s2a i am thinking i might take the overdrive out and sell it separate to make the sale of the car easier. after new years i am sorting through all my parts and selling what ever i dont need and i will strip the s3 swb out the back of the shed and sell and keep whatever then the rest is going to the scrappie along with 2 chopped up s1 chassis
