Andrew, thanks for the feedback and testimonial! Which RFSV did you buy?

How useable/ informative would you rate the EMEI: Mod decoder?
    Cheers, BDave.

    Thanks BDave,

I have already registered. This is a very useful thread to come at these auctions with an objective mindset, which is hard to do given some of the low reserves!

OK I don't know if you already know this but it may add to the store of knowledge on Perentie.
I was speaking to a long time acquaintance tonight at a party and he told me that his company built all of the wide body cabs for the Perentie project.

The company name is McRitchie Metal Fabrications at Milperra and he said he built the complete cab and there were about 80 pressings involved. He did not make the bonnets as they were imported from UK.

He also won a contract for supply of parts ( I assume body parts ) for ambulances and I also assume he built the ambulance bodies, as he said it was great because all he did was press additional panels on the production line. He said he had the contract for 10 years.
    Regards Philip A

    G'Day Phillip.
A long term project is a Perentie history, so i would be very interested in talking to your mate.
If you would see if he is interested in sharing his story, please PM contact details with his authority.
    Cheers, BDave.

New to the forum, and just about to buy

G'Day guys. Mark here. Came across the forum, and am very glad I did. After a few years of not doing tax returns (refund every year, it was just forced savings) I finally did my returns, and have a nice little amount in my pocket for a Perentie.
I missed the last round of auctions, but have found a few online. Dealers are asking around $13k-$15k, and private sellers are around $12k. Is it worth waiting till the next round of auctions? I did notice someone say that there were still over 2200 vehicles to be sold. I can only assume that the prices will fall as the market is saturated. Plus, if all the ones with faults/problems are sold off first, doesn't that mean that the last ones will be in great nick?
On the other hand, I WANT ONE NOOOWWW!!!
BDave, I am going to get your guide, but I was just after some advuce from the forum.
    Thanks heaps guys.

It could also mean the last ones out have more issues, or in worse condition, especially if they are having to use them more with the slow introduction of the G-Wagons.
