thanks for the update bdave.
sounds like you've stacked up a pile of new(?) skills on the way. looking forward to reading the guide.
cheers,

G'Day all.
Firstly, Thank-you for your patience.
This process has been a great exercise in practicing my Project management skills as I have to deal with scope creep!
It seems that I have struck a nerve with many people (in a good way).
THis whole process has been quite a steep learning curve with a resultant increase in the lead time to publishing.
This would be a familiar tune to any that have dived into Publishing and E-Pub for the first time.
In the last few months I have had to learn
- Writing and publishing techniques and 'Rules'
- E-business establishment and security issues
- SEO, affilliate marketing etc, etc
- prioritisation of opportunities and offers as they arise.
That and continuing to be an active parent, work part time and run an SES group full time!
Anyway, an update.
All products will be PDFs. The purchaser buys them via Paypal, I recieve a sale confirmation and then provide the documents using Dropbox.
You simply follow the emailed link and click 'Download'.
This makes the process as quick as possible, until I can program the robots to do it instantly
PDF is stable on most platforms making the Guides fully portable or people can print off the relevant sections to take with them.
The future may include an App based inspection guide that can be saved and collated.
The 4x4 vehicle Visual Inspection Guide(3.0) is finished and will be available from Wednesday.
Technical issues with the website are holding things up until then.
The VIG is a 11pages and designed for an individual 2nd hand inspection as well as assisting the short-listing process at auction.
Finding the fine line between a basic inspection guide and a Mil style Technical inspection was interesting.
The VIG will be $9.70.
The full Buyers guide which includes the VIGs, information on the Tenix rebuild process and how to spot one, EMEI/ Mod number Decoder chart, Variant specs and breakdown, Interviews with the Operators, Mechanics and Engineers who work on them and a whole heap more will be online by the end of Next weekend.
Introductory/ AULRO price will be $47.50.
There are a number of things I am working on relating to the Perenties.
Packages of RPS with photos of assemblies, vehicle Inspection services (by Current and Former ADF MEchanics) and much more.
Stay tuned!!
Thanks again for the interest and support.
Cheers, BDave.

I have a 110 FFR soft top. $8.5k back in June 2013 from Grays Minto.
It's very hard to park without power steering unless you have 2 car spaces available which is hard to find in Sydney. I looked up power stearing on this site 3 weeks ago and had it fitted for $1700 from KLS South Winsor. Now It's a dream to drive. Also they can supply and fit turbo's at approx $4k. I will save up for that.
John.
G'Day folks.
I am pleased to announce that all technical issues have been sorted and I am in Business!
The Visual Inspection Guides, 4x4 and 6x6 are up for sale on the site.
I have opted for a one size fits all approach and expanded the VIGs slightly to include all variants currently available.
They are all AUD$9. 70.
Now, back to work on finishing the full Buyers Guide!
Remember, both VIGs are included in the Buyers Guide, so don't buy just yet if you want ALL the Intel
At this stage I cannot include the Operators manuals, full EMEIs of Complete RPS.
RPS Groups are available as a package with detailed photos- POA.
Cheers, BDave.

This is a once only offer as I know a few of you are waiting to bid on vehicles this round.

Great idea! Ill get myself a copy.
Now, does anybody have a heads up on when the next lot may be up for auction? None on grays, pickles or Australian Frontline Machinery.
I'm only green to this concept of ex-mil auctions, so not sure how to go about finding them.
EDIT: Looks like I just missed out. How often do these things come around?
G'day mate.
The Auctions are held monthly.
Sydney every month, Bris most, and Adelaide, Melb, Perth, Darwin as they come.
You can register with Australian Frontline Machinery, AFM, for notification of dates.
Cheers, BDave.

G'Day Dave
Downloaded and read your buyers guide. Thanks for your work on this.
It's good to have all the information in one place.
I have already a RFSV but still find the guide usefull.
The guide will help potential buyers look at these 110's without rose glasses.
I would strongly recommend a full inspection with the buyers guide on hand, especially if buying one of the special versions like the RFSV.
You may like to update the contact details of KLR in NSW as they have moved.
Regards
Andrew
