If you buy a ex army parentie be aware that buying spare parts will be a nightmare, if not now, these vehicles have many parts that are exclusive, you will not buy off the shelf later on, if you can do now, I have had landrovers for over 40 years now and wouldn't buy a parentie unless they where cheap enough to buy 2 (one on blocks for spares), much better off with a 110.

The Perenties are 95% a JRA parts-bin special.
Special variants have some bespoke components, but they are hardly irrepairable.
4x4 Surveillance front diffs for example and the rear suspension/ drivetrain on the 6x6s, otherwise, just a matter of knowing the parts numbers and finding a stockist of '80s isuzu rover bits.
The ADF is also offloading its'spares inventory and I am sure that Domestic LR specialists or enterprising individuals will be stocking up with this gear.

My biggest interest as a potential buyer would be to know what/how much maintenance has been done, and how to identify this
These are 25 year old vehicles pushing probably 200k + hard Km regardless of what the odo reads
Would be interesting to get more details from anyone who worked on the refurbs down at South Bandiana to see how extensive the refurbs have been in recent years and if they have tapered off in anticipation of off loading them.
