The bar with the hoops looks great, can't wait to see it fitted. Couple of quck questions though, could small eyelets be added to the top corners of the side tubes for bushguards and as for the lights, could they be half day running lights and half indicators? Oh and final question how can I get this past the wife without her noticing?

Haven't had time to fit it to a Defender yet, but here it is looking all shiny and black.

If there's any 'shiny' Defender owners in the Geelong area who would like to preview it on their car, please let me know as it would make better pictures than my beat up 130 Tdi. If you have the standard bumper it would only take about half an hour to fit and take off again. Otherwise, my beat up 130 will have to do.

    Cheers, Murray

Have we had any takers yet?

Yep, the bar is sold, but I wont be fitting it until early February. It's going on a nice shiny Puma so I'll post some pics as soon as it's done.

    Hi Murray,

This "hybrid" bar certainly looks the goods. Well done

I am another keen on-looker, eager to see the bar fitted to a new Puma.

Would there be any option for supply of the hybrid bar without DRL's and, more specifically, without the cutouts for DRL's?

In addition, I currently have the standard defender bumper with an APT steering guard fitted. Will the APT guard be compatible with your hybrid bar?

Cheers, and thanks again for another great product.

    G'day Nige,
I make the bars to order, so it's no problem making them with specific requirements, within reason. The DRL cutouts can be omitted.
Customisation wouldn't be practical in a mass production situation, but due to a more personal service I'm happy to work with you to get what you want.
The DRLs have been very popular, but I have made a couple of bars without the DRL slots by request.

    Cheers, Murray

Thanks, I'll wait on making a decision until then. If I like the look and ordered one what wait time would I have. If possible I'd like to be able to fit it over the Easter long weekend.

I don't see pre Easter delivery as a problem at this stage. Basically how I work (as a one man operation) is, when I get an order I put it on my job list in order and build it when I get to it. Sometimes things get built sooner if I have other orders for the same thing as it saves me time to build things in multiples or batches.
I have quite a list of jobs at the moment due to the silly season, but I'm back at it now, so I'm hoping to catch up on things ASAP.

    Cheers, Murray
