Tool Time?
Looks very useful. Thanks for that BMK.
Not sure if this should go in "Technical Chatter" or "Diagnostics" or wherever - mods please move as appropriate.
While at Melrose, one of the members of the SA Land Rover Register showed me a remote multimeter that he had fitted to the auxiliary battery mounted in the back of his D4. Output is via Bluetooth to mobile phone or any Bluetooth capable device (iPad, laptop etc).
I'm thinking of getting one to monitor the charge in my aux. battery which is fitted as part of the Traxide kit - and possibly a second wired to the main cranking battery. Both can be monitored from the mobile phone or other device.
The Device is a "Mooshimeter" - web page is https://moosh.im/mooshimeter
Cheers .........

Single prices is $120, a three pack is $300. I'm assuming US$.
Some years ago I bought a data logger to do some stuff that this thing will do much more easily. I think I'll try to buy one of these items.

Colour isn't an issue with my purchases. The big problem is that I made the purchase.
Maybe my wife can order them?![]()

I was only trying to find this today.
I did find a similar thing, made by Hummingbird Electronics.
Hummingbird Electronics Pty Limited - Bluetooth Devices
Around the same price too.
Now that you've got me going...

The home page with lots of interesting goodies...

Looks good, but I think I'll wait until they're mass produced an under $20...
Hi folks and can I make a suggestion??????
There are a lot of smart IT people on this forum, so why not get our heads together and see if we can't develop our own monitors.
I already manufacture a wireless breakaway battery monitor ( Australia's first ) for a large wholesaler and I'm in the process of developing a far more comprehensive system.
I have looked at developing a system around using smart phones and tablets as the in-cab display but I have no hope of developing the apps.
The device shown here is a great idea but not really suited to automotive use beyond voltage monitoring.
You need something that can monitor a few hundred amps, not 10 amps, and so developing our own could be beneficial in that we could develop a system for a wider customer base.
Again, this is just a suggestion.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
