The EG3600 is a good unit .... but the roar will drive you nuts! It's a tradies type unit (and they are silenced by comparison to a real scoop frame tradies type unit ... they run large mufflers .... but still WAY to noisy). Simon nailed it. If you want to know what an EU30is will sound like when running an aircon .... take a fan heater (2000w-2400w) with you and demo one running said fan heater ....

Like I said .... EU30is or EU30iu (but there's not much $$$ difference and I'd pay the extra $$$ for the "is" .... 'cause it "is" better .... ... and you will have capacity left over to run the "ping" machines and other stuff

That fuji chiller is 5.2kw cooling capacity ... how freaking big is the van again ???? (Block of flats ?) The outlaws have a 5.2kw Panasonic inverter and it comfotably does an open plan kitchen, lounge & dining area .... and sometimes a small bedroom .... maybe 45-50sqm.

Isn't there space on the wall in the van for a std wall mounted inverter type unit ? The roof mount's a good idea though! I'm told it's critical to match an inverter a/c unit to the size area to be cooled ... too big and it doesn't work properly ... too small is too small.
