Also have you thought about trailer insurance and got a cover not ready?

cover note? nope didn't realise you need insurance to pull a trailer...

towing - depends on your vehicle ins.

Cover note he meant is for the insurance on your trailer as a possession and capital item of yours that you want to insure.

I am happy to pass on our insurers details via PM if you want them.
    Cheers, Dale

I dont understand....do you mean there maybe a chance that my ful comp will be void for pulling a trailer?

as for personal possession not going to panic about insurance yet it will be driven home and put behind the gates until we are ready to use.

Got much much bigger financial things to be worrying about at the moment insurance on the trailer is not one of them....once we get the other things out the way hopefully mid oct then we can look at things like that.

As long as it is legal for us to tow it thats all I care about

You can tow it no problem Lou, with or without insurance. That insurance is just for theft or damage to the camper. Your car policy covers any damage the camper may cause.

    Hi DB
Insurance is only a thing you need if you cant afford the full replacement without being a finacially burden, buggered if I could come up with $15000 without creating some sort of burden. Your call

Oh dont get me wrong I'm not saying I'm not going to insure it....

If we were unlucky enough for this to be stolen before we got it insured it would be a financial lose not burden as it wouldn't be able to replace it, we just couldn't afford to do it.

So insurance is on the cards just need to get it home and sort things out first.

Lou check with you vehicle insurer they may cover a towed trailer to a particular value. In our case though that wasn't going to cut it with the Kimberley, its a tad too much in cost. CLI is the most commonly used Camper Trailer and Caravan insurer in Australia but there is others who will cover you too.

Sorry, if it's sold unregistered, then these are not required from the seller. You will need to arrange these for your registration.
