Smile Might have brought a camper...

    So after the long wait......

we may have purchased a camper.

I say MAY as I don't want to jinx myself...but we have spoken to them on the phone and organised to go down and pick it up on weds/thurs...its in Melbourne.

Its an Aussie swagman rover LX..... with complete optioned awnings.

Its a 2000 model, the canvas looks a little dated on it as its that funny green and off yellow canvas.

but I guess its a 9 year old camper so it will be a bit dated anyway.

Still it has independant etc.....and the basic electrics to start out with battery chargers etc..

but its in our price range.......the guy said he has only used it a couple of times through the centre as when he wanted to do a big tour the missus wanted a full walk in camper on a truck...so he said he put the trailer in the garage and it has not been used since. the only reason they never sold it was in case they wanted to go back to it.

    This is it here:

From where will it be brought after you've bought it?

We won't discuss "of" vs "have".

bloody hope so!! thats the whole reason we are after a hard floor....

the newer rover lx's have heaps of room...I can't imagine they have change that much but with a full awning on one side a part awning on the other I would imagine there wouldn't be much problem accommodating them....

I know its an older model but I think it will be ok for what we want I have noticed that ones from the early 90's are still fetching 4/6 grand.....and there is one on ebay at the moment that is starting price 14,500 but has a reserve, another 2 years younger for 21,000 so I don't think we will have done too bad
