any indication on fuel consumption yet?
Not done enough distance to get an MPG figure yet, but, having had an avo of blasting around locally, the fuel gauge didn't move! It would have gone with the V8!!

So you could say in terms of consumption it's gone from 'Irish Squaddie' to 'Home Counties wine taster'?

Let's see some more photos of the near finished job out in the sun at least!!!

Wine taster! Like that! Mick the wine taster!! He fits in really... More efficient than SWMBO when it comes to wine!!! Anyway, as requested, pics.. The sunny ones will come this week with the GoPro trip! Here's the gearbox cover in the process of being built.. I would have had to ruin the old one to make it work so deemed the start from scratch option was better. Floor cut out of 3mm alli..

And one of the cover framework tacked up and in position. (Now welded, painted, and the sheets are cut.. Just waiting on tomorrow morn, where I'll use the works folder to make them fit!)
I could have spent hours following the rear of the engine and giving me a different shape to gain 200mm, but this was easy, and Im never going to have two Euro Pallets of ammo in there... Just logs, dogs etc!!

And here's a shot as 'Mick' stands (3 front leaves) with the ROPS back on, rear tray on etc etc. A good stance, not sagging at the nose with the weight of the Cummins. Peter Brown came for a look yesterday, and we went for a blast up the road. He approved and thought it was 'just right', so Im very pleased. Have to say, his Td5 90 sounds and goes fantastic!!

Looks spot on Simon. Are the 2 spares in the back to make the back suspension do some work? I would think the front is sorted weight wise now - does it buck a bit from the back on bumps?

You know what the result would be if I bought another one home. Yes, I won't be doing it to mine - It will always stay the way it is, but boy it is tempting....
