Well I has some actual photo's now

So I know what colour it is! still haven't got the vehicle yet when relying on mates freights rates you have to be a little patient it also has to stop raining so a truck can get to it to pick it up.

My Dec 01 130 with Obieco tray, bull bar and warn winch. The only other changes are old man emu shocks all round. Will probably sell it in about 12 months time to get a new one hopefully. The best farm truck you can buy, will carry a good load and with full time 4x4 you have traction all the time. As a farmer I drive off road every day. Visitors in cruisers have to get out and put their hubs in when its wet and real pain if you are already stuck.

Forgot to mention the tyres. Mickey Thompson ATZ 235/85 . They are only 30% offroad but I cannot fault them. I will be putting another set on when these are worn out in another 20K.

Do you know if that tray was an original fitting on your Defender?

It appears to be identical to mine, but I had always wondered if my tray had been on another vehicle. There were painted and unpainted bit in the supports underneath that suggested it had been on a different vehicle and I could rub the tyres on the ribs under the tray when the axles were all crossed up. Does yours do that? I suppose that has more to do with the supporting cross rails than the tray.

looks like original fitted triple m tray,I'm second owner -had it for 3 years, sold new from Casino in '96, 94my, 95 compliance (dealership now gone). Front mount has bit of flat bar welded between uprights that's not painted rest of mounts made from angle with bit cut outa rear to allow spare to fit up under tray- look like a standard fitting kit. Got different rear bump stops and sway bar which limits travel a bit, bump stops touch diff when I got 1t on and ute sits level, they will still allow some more upward movement as they compress-someone mentioned they're off a tojo

Your spare fits under the tray?
Do you have any photos of the space where the spare tyre fits? Maybe your whole tray is higher off the chassis than mine.
