Make sure you monitor your EGTs though, it's very hard to not drive 'enthusiastically' and get EGTs over 650C

    Hi Benny_11A,

Not sure about the range of maps, but I guess there is mild to wild.

When I emailed my standard map to Pete Bell, I also had to provided all relevant vehicle and use details and the map was chosen from those particulars.

    Cheers

Anyone know if the Puma has a EGT sensor built in. Maybe one that a scan gauge can read?

Just got back from a shortened camping trip, due to rain.

Travelled 310k's, sat on or about 100km/h, towed a 2t caravan, used 48 litres, average of 15.5L/100km's.

This is the same consumption as prior to the up grade, BUT.....

The towing ability of the PUMA has increased 100%, on hills that I am normally changing down into fourth, now I am in 5th with power waiting on the right foot.

The extra NM's allow for smooth effortless take off's at traffic lights and up changes are made much quicker and require a lot less throttle opening.

The PUMA is now much easier and enjoyable to drive and requires a lot less effort.

I couldn't be happier with this performance upgrade and would recommend it to any body looking for a bit extra power and drivability.

Down side - Dealer still hastn't fixed water leaks

I have been told that programmes designed in Europe tend to blow smoke when used in Australia. Do you find this to be the case? Not much difference in the weather at the moment though so might be hard to tell.

I have been on the look out for black smoke, but haven't seen yet but, I try to use minimal throttle and do not go revving it out through the gears.

All of these computer up grades put more fuel/air mixture in the combustion process, so I think that they will all blow a little bit extra black smoke - some more than others !

I haven't noticed black smoke since the remap. Then again I put 2so in every tank, that helps the diesel to burn clean and removes any carbon deposits.
