Re: front diff locks and standard CVs.
I'm still running standard CVs and I'm a strong advocate that having the locker actually saves my CVs more than not having one.
Reason is I crawl up everything and there's no shock loading unless I'm being an idiot. Before the locker I used to require momentum and when I lifted a wheel that would then become the weak link - especially when it came back to the ground and found traction - shock loading kills the diffs and CVs.
As for the axles - yes mine was standard with 24 splines - still are original in the front end.
OK, so I can keep my 2522 CVs and change the inners to HiTough halfshafts, which makes sense. But I'm still not clear on the vented rotors, if I want to use them do I have to swap my stub axles and hubs too?
If I'm changing stub axles, won't that mean I also have to swap over the CVs as well?
Re the drum rears, what it the issue with changing them to disks?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
To fit vented rotors all you have to do is bolt them on and bolt in a caliper spacer kit (or defender calipers).
On the rear (if you want bolt-on) you need defender hubs, stubs, calipers, caliper brackets and then defender halfshafts or 13mm spacers for your existing halfshafts.

						Thanks guys
The reason that I'm looking for Defender callipers is that I've been advised that the spacer kit is a lot more than 2nd hand D callipers.
