Where's the Defender wave gone?

My kids love defenders, and especially the wave. we have several cars and we get a little depressed when we drive past a defender in our corolla and cant wave. The kids then berate me for not taking the defender to the shops. Ha Ha! Here in perth i have only been Unwaived twice in 6 years, probably someone borrowing a mates defender to do some real work.

Sorry to all those who waved at Boomer this week near Beenleigh. My mechanic had to do some test drives and said he was waved at everywhere. So it was not me who did not wave back. Got some great waves a couple of weeks ago on a trip to Millmerran and back.

I get a few waves here. There are regulars, and then the odd different one. Got a shock the other day because a Disco waved at me! :o:D

I work in the unbelievably tossy Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. When I wave (which I always do) to a fellow defender owner, I swear I can actually see their index finger twitch in anticipation of a little micro wave, but it rarely happens. Waaay too uncool to be friendly in that neck of the woods. It's so weird.

hehe i always wave at defenders from my disco :D theres a few driving around barker! :D

I live on the North Shore of Sydney and hardly get a wave back :( If I do get a wave back its from an older Deefer, Puma owners rarely wave (sorry Puma owners on here, but most don't know what they're driving).

Getting plenty of waves in the Adelaide Hills. Only one snobby Defender owner who looks but never waves back. :o

Great couple of toots on the horn from a 110 in Mt Pilot State Park today, made my wife's day! Not sure if whoever it was saw us waving back but your timing was awesome, she had just struggled on one of the side tracks before Kangaroo Crossing and was a bit "stupid car, you drive"... that friendly toot lifted her spirits and she was stoked, end up driving another 150+km before she let me have a go :D

Ive been in QLD 6 weeks now, have only seen about 3 defenders , none waved back.

but yesterday got a good return wave from a Silver Puma 130 rigged for touring on the Winton Boulia road,
