Every time I take my Deefer for a drive I'm lucky to see any others but as soon as I'm in the wife's Rav, I see heaps![]()
Same here. Today was a good example, drove home down the Hume from Beechworth in the 90, 3.5 hour drive and 0 Defenders. Wife left 30 minutes later in VW Polo, same drive but 5 Defenders and two Perentie's she tells me + she passed a Unimog on Thurs on the way up there. Maybe I need new glasses.
MY13 Defender 90 LE "George"
Nah mate, it's a conspiracy against us!![]()
Passing through Victoria on my way to Tassie, of the 5 Defenders that went by I never got a single wave on Saturday.
What's up with that ??
When they come out with the new model and it's competing head to head with the Japs and becomes used more for the school bus, it'll only be the current crop of Defender owners who continue to wave- ya can bet ya left one on that![]()
On my day trip yesterday to Bendethera (read thread of sad mystery loss of syklone pre-cleaner) we saw a few defenders. All of them exchanged waves with us
One Puma between Canberra and Cooma (waved), another Puma on the track into Bendethera (stopped and had a chat), Defender in the Bendethera area (all occupants waved vigorously while I was dashing to the long drop dunny for a relief stop).
Coolest of all was at the start of the day, an old fellow in a very old green series farm ute, putting slowly through a roundabout in Cooma, gave us a big smile and a full arm wave out the window. What a legend![]()
