Sheeez mate...go with the flow...almost impossible to find a Mrs so keen on Landys!!!!
The Cook insists on waving to Defenders even when she's in her Camry or we're both in the D4. "Stop doing that" I say "They will ignore you". All she will say in reply is "Do you want to eat tonight"?
So I shuts me gob and lets her get on with whatever pleases her.

I wave to the blonde up the road who has a D4 as well and she ignores me....

Sadly you are in a very small minority, as was I when I had my D4. I barely even notice D4s around here anymore. They're so common and most have never seen any dirt. The biggest challenge they face is trying to find a park in St Ives on a Saturday morning. Most of the drivers wouldn't even know what a Defender is, let alone wave to one. Even the few tricked up ones don't even seem to glance at the Defender.
Such a waste of such capable vehicles.
Cheers,
Jon
Got a wave from an elderly gentleman with a big busy beard in a 300 TDi in Richmond this morning:-)

My younger bro is one of those whose RRS Autobio will never see serious dirt but he has been known to flog it on gravel sometimes. I thought about buying it off him the warranty runs out but then knowing how he gives cars stick I decided not to.
And there's only one type of wave he gives to other drivers.

Always wave at series and defenders, only miss them if the sun is in my eyes ......discos and Rangies get a confident nod of acknowledgement also.
I waved to a white 90 from WA yesterday afternoon as he flew past me on the Monash outbound. I don't know if he waved.
Waved to a white 110 ute under St Kilda Rd bridge on City Rd this morning, no wave.
I tell you what I'm having a bad strike rate lately.![]()
We received an enthusiastic wave from a D2 on the M1 heading north from the Gold Coast on Sunday early evening. I'm not used to Discos waving so I was a bit slow on the return - sorry.
