    x 2 ON THAT MATE!

How about just an OPTION? "You can have ANY engine as long as it's the 2.2......." WTF? You can get the RR and Disco with engine options? You can get engine options from EVERY OTHER manufacturer?

All that garbage about emissions tax and target market? Yes, they're targeting the Defender right OUT of the market. Small wonder they only sell 500 world wide

    Like the 3.2 Durotorq, Pat.

Like a TDV6 from Nissan, Land Rover, Peugeot, Renault, etc.

Like a nice V6 petrol like the Pentastar.

    etc etc

Its UTE which is shorthand over here (in UK) for 'Utility' which means less seats and windows, other than that its the same - I've got a standard 110 utility xs and its a pretty good wagon, more secure in the back for the dog. Not like the utes you guys have with the open 'pickup' back. I'll be seeing a few of them when I come over for a trip in October, looking forward to that.

There are several of those 'jazz em up' companies here (some just add a badge and not much else) The Nene ones are a bit more worked on, lowered for 'fast' road work, 'raised' , some just prettied up - whatever you fancy really.

There is at least one 'proper' tuner over here who has put a 3.2 puma engine into a 90 with good results by the sounds of it, more to follow I'd say - could be a good upgrade when the first engine is worn out.

Td5 and 300tdi I have no problem with but compared to other engines they are a **** fart option... Yes can be made to go good but compared to motors from cummins,Isuzu, detroit etc etc there's no comparison

too heavy, too thirsty, it'd turn the handling and consumption to that of a cruiser.

Just how much power do you really need?
A "Puma" will happily sit on the speed limit all day, whilst at it GVM,and still have enough in reserve to overtake slower vehicles.
Next people will be complaining that the radio won't play doof doof loud enough
