No you see I was always lead to believe that Land Rover make them have oil leaks. For two reason. First is that is provides a constant refreshed underseal for he chassis therefore protecting it from rust. Second is it makes the importance of changing the oil in the engine not quite do important. As it self changes its oil over the time allotted distance.

See below for my response to Bab's issues with the new Defenders!

Just got a few questions I did not have time to run through with the salesman as I took off pretty quick to make it to tyre shop.

    1) While I was driving I was looking for the tilt adjustment for the steering wheel, does anyone know where it is?

I have discovered that if you want to tilt your steering wheel at a backwards angle you have to drive up a hill, and logically, if you want to tilt it at a forward angle drive downhill.

    4) Also while the air con button is pressed in and the fan is on Zero it still works???

My air conditioning doesn't seem to work - it has the metal stampings on the outside of the vehicle at the front where, on previous models, the air conditioning was installed, but on mine it isn't connected, maybe it's hiding behind the plastic dashboard.

    5) I could not see the cruise control buttons either, (I feel pretty stupid they must be right in plain view and I cant see them)

I have discovered the secret to working the manual cruise control - the buttons are foot operated in the driver's side footwell - the right hand button sets the vehicle at a higher speed and middle button slows down - decide what speed you want to travel at, and watch your speedo whilst adjusting the speed using the 2 aforementioned buttons.

    7) And for the life of me I cant get the bluetooth working on the radio deck?

Bluetooth is totally unecessary in these vehicles as mobile phone reception is unavailable in these areas that the Landrovers go, ie the outback and metropolitan Sydney

    8) I will also have to take it back next week, because I think while it was in the yard someone must have stolen the side map pockets.

Instead they have a nice flat windscreen to stick the suction cap of your GPS to.

    9) Im just curious is anyone else's Puma missing the mirrors from under the sunviser? Mines missing, this means the wife will keep using my rear view for her makeup.

Sunvisor mirrors? The lack of sunvisor mirrors is to protect the public. I have a 90 and it's the last vehicle that I would recommend for trying to put you lipstick on whilst the vehicle is in motion. It's too bouncy and you would end up with lipstick all over your face and even up your nose. Purely a safety and fashion ommission.

I cant wait until you find the reversing camera!

Its about 10 inches above the little analogue clock, look at the screen and you will see what is behind you

Hence why i'm stuck on giving it a name, I have never named a car, unless its broken down, then i've named it Lemon, Dud, piece of "uno what", etc etc

Everyone else on here has seemed to name theirs, I don't want to be a kill joy. Go on give yours a name as well.
