I have the metal from Mulgo and put insulation and then carpet in them, it helps keep the inside temp down and reduces the overall cabin noise which I suspect the glass would do neither.

Does anyone know of it's possible to fit 2 gullwing doors on each side if you have a 3-door panel van defender/county?
Basically I want to copy the older county style dual window 3-door arrangement but with bigger windows but this might be pushing it structurally. I have seen the ex army td5 3-door defenders with two windows on each side though.
Anyone done this?
Apologies if this is a high jack of this thread, happy to start a new one if that's preferred.
Yeah I thought that may be the case until I saw this photo - which got me wondering again.

The windows probably are smaller though - back to the drawing board!
looks like two full size ones won't fit
I was also thinking single longer one piece gull wing on each side might be an idea. If they were the glass type would be great for visibility as well.
I really want to upgrade to these in the back of the 110 but at 500 bucks a side and in excess of 200 shipping it seems very expensive to me. I can understand the glass ones being that expensive but can anyone explain to me why the alloy ones are the same price? the materials involved are much much cheaper than a sheet of toughened glass.
Has anyone had these just done by a local fabrication company and if so how much did it cost? was it around the same price as the mulgo and doluim ones? Am I just underestimating the amount of work involved in making these items? Guys that build custom ute bodies do these types of gull wing doors all the time, I can buy a custom steel or alloy ute canopy for not much more than these two items shipped to me. Has anyone found any more cost effective methods of putting a waterproof hatch in place of the rear windows?
