i know this is a reeaallllyy old post and i dunno if there is a rule against re-starting old threads.. But! today i swapped my series 3 swb for what i thought was a 110 wagon cut to a ute, but turns out to be one of these Bicentenary 110's! its a 12/86 build date, as i have read they are pretty rare!

    Cheers!

    Bicentenary 110 ute

    hi everyone!
Today I joined the defender/county owners club, i swapped my series 3 swb for what i thought was a home-job 110 wagon cut to a ute, turns out its a Bicentenary genuine ute! although someone in the past has cut the original bed off it.. I was just wondering if anyone has any information on them or some original pictures anywhere? from what i have found there were only 20 made in 1986, and mines a 12/1986 model, 3.5 V8 bit rough and worse for wear but considering i found her in a back yard jammed away it seems pretty good!

Good find if it is, I thought I remember most of them being white? But was a long time ago when I saw them in 88.

I'm sure there has been a thread about them on here a few years back, so some more searching should find a picture or two.

My memory says they were all made in one batch and were all V8s.

Mine is the same vintage. Except it has been modified a bit. 4BD1T, Lt95A, gal mil chassis, pto winch, lockers,HD front diff. and roof extended to cover rear section.
About 28 made I believe, most were white afaik. The frame on the chassis was for the turntable to tow the 5th wheeler vans that folded out into the displays.
