    service where it --matta's

    Hi,
my first service last month cost $855.20 and I thought that excessive for a small service--I had been quoted $1150ish from two dealers for a full service ie all oils etc. Also had recall done eventually--they forgot at first visit despite listing it on invoice--but were very nice about it though!

Thank you seaweed, a nice definitive answer, which was what I was looking for!
Anyone else who can tell me what they paid for a 1st service for a Puma 90 2.2, which is really not much more than an oil & filter change?

I paid $550,it doesn't matter what it costs,it's the most important service your vehicle ever gets along with the 40K ones, just pay the money. Pat

No worries at all about paying, I've already paid, and as far as I'm concerned, you get what you pay for,...and my service would have cost about the same as yours, except for the $158.50,..I just want to know what it's for, which is why I wanted other's experiences, which are, and will be, appreciated.
    Thanks, Pickles.

Why don't you just call them and ask instead of getting random strangers to speculate!

    is this the 20k service?

It's the 10K service, an "A" service, I think. In my case it's the 1st service..
Not "Random Strangers",.......all Forum members mate, and people who have the same vehicle as us. And I'm certainly not asking them to "speculate",....that is exactly what I don't want.I am asking them what they paid,...that is not "speculating".
And of course I will be ringing, but not today, when the Service Dept is very busy, but also after I have been able to guage some idea of what is the norm....., so that I will not, in your words, have to "speculate".
I always like to do my homework, get proper info etc, in any situation, before I take on ANY issue, which is all I am doing here.

I was told that the first service is at 20K, and I asked about one at 10K and was told there wasn't one for my 2.2 puma.

So I suppose my question is; Are the oils supposed to be changed out at 10K or not? I have done almost 9K since July, so I will get to the mark very soon.

    Cheers,

    Phill.

Well, the first service is due at 12ms or 20K, whichever is the earlier, in my case it was 12ms.

I was suggesting that you call them to ask about the 158$ amount you are asking about below..

What else could this $158.50 be for?
