    Hi Pickles2,
Just checked the first service documents for my used 2013 Defender. The 12 month service done with 7500km on the odometer cost $494.00 in NSW which included the hose warranty repair for that model year which was no cost. This was done in June this year. It also included at no cost investigation of the EGR system which apparently caused a fault requiring the vehicle to be flat bedded to the dealer. Nothing found though and it has not occurred while I have owned the vehicle.
The cost was around $330.00 labour, $110.00 parts plus GST.
    Hope this helps.

And of course the dealers have you by the hairy's for the free mandatory corrosion check, if you want that cover.

Any idea what that check would cost stand alone?
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

    Question

Thanks for your "pricings" guys, they have given me some idea.
It's not the total cost that bothers me, it's the fact that an amount of $158.50 has been aligned with the turbo hose recall on the invoice?
I will speak to the Service Manager today & see what he says.

    Thumbs up

Have much appreciated your feedback, as it's given me an idea of what the usual cost is.
Anyway, rang my dealer today, who was most apologetic, saying they had mistakenly charged me for the hose upgrade.
A cheque for the amount is in transit to me.
    Very good attitude. Pickles.

Pickles, the attitude towards dealers is they are a bunch of crooks,I've had my TDCi serviced from new by dealers and indy's,the dealers do the best job, staying with them also doesn't cause problems with warranty,if you spend your money with them I've found them much more pleasant come problem time.
