Don't think anyone has mentioned here but LR themselves now do a bar for the Defender in Oz (not the plastic one). You'll pay top $$$ but is a full size bar that fits the limited editions/SVX grill and has good clearance.

There's a thread about it here: New Bull Bar from LR

    Land Rover Bull Bar

Here are a couple of pics of the Land Rover bar which I bought from MLR last year. The bar is very solid and, with the round top bar and the hefty bumper being straight, it may not have quite the aesthetics of the ARB bar but there is good clearance if you meed to get at the grille. The cut-out for a winch is pressed in below the number plate. I had to modify the supports for the brush bar a little bit which took two minutes in the vice and a squirt of black paint. Can't see where the roo bounced off on my way to Cobar - not my fault!

FYI: from my recent enquiries to buy a new bar & fit my existing WARN 9.5xp

The ARB 3532070 winch fitting kit contains the following:
    Control box bracket
    Grill re-enforcement bracket
    Number plate bracket
    Winch power cables
    Winch mounting bolts/washers

    From my after-market supplier/fitter:
I don't believe we need to buy the winch fit kit, the control box bracket comes with the bar, there is no grille re-enforcement needed, number plate bracket I think not needed, power cables that come in the winch kit are no-where near long enough for a defender with the battery under the left seat, winch mounting bolts/washers you will already have.
Or short answer is No we don't require it!
An ARB winch bar installed on the car with your winch
    mounted and wired is $1784.00.

    From ARB:
ARB Deluxe winch bar in standard black (take away price and fitted including my existing WARN 9.5xp winch) - $1350 + $270 for fitting (Bar and winch)=$1620

Summiit, have you had any luck fitting those TJM scrub bars to the ARB bullbar yet?

I was in ARB a few days ago , they have Two winch bars , there new style that has thicker tubes , and more wrap around and more up swept , than the older Bar . The salesman was telling me they still make the older winch bar as well !!.. Jim
