Hi, I brought a Momo steering wheel from UK for my MY15 before it turned up. Didn't realise the boss was different until I took the new steering wheel off. I just modified the MY14 boss to work. I took the locator pins out, and drilled matching slots in the aluminum boss. Put it back on, seemed to work fine but still got it checked by dealer at 1k service. All good! Done!

Lou. Site address 13-3/4" Isotta Carlotta Steering Wheel - CP Performance

It is a boat steering wheel that you will find on Sunseeker Yachts. But same same ( not different) as what Kahn sells.

    Thanks Louis,

A bit flash for my tastes and still pretty pricey considering the exchange rate...

Mudstuff's Moto-Lita packages looks the best option if you have the money burning your pockets!

Quote at todays exchange rate is $411.13 AUD delivered to Australia for the whole kit (wheel, boss and black centre cover).

    Cheers,

    Lou

Yes I agree it is a bit flash but the new girl "Betty". Will be a steet flash 90 with Kahn wheels and many extras including re Maped motor and $ 10k sound system with reversing camera and SAT Nav. I am sure many purists will objet but rather a 90 than a jeep or one of these new jap retro things.

Available in 14in or 15in diameter designs, Moto-Lita wheels come with a holed spokes in either a satin black or polished finish. One spoke features the engraved Moto-Lita signature.

The 380mm/15in size diameter Moto-Lita wheel provides a larger diameter option than the majority of other aftermarket wheels whose maximum diameter wheel size is 14in/350mm. Crucially the 15in Moto-Lita wheel looks and feels right at home in the Defender. If you're looking for that little bit of extra room under you knees, we recommend the 15in Moto-Lita wheel.

For those drivers who prefer a smaller wheel with a sportier feel wheel we can supply the Moto-Lita wheel in a 14in diameter. If you're looking for the maximum amount of extra legroom under your knees (or in front of your stomach!) we recommend the 14in Moto-Lita wheel.

So in making a choice of steering wheel - 14" or 15" - what's better? What's the standard Defender steering wheel size?

Would the 14" be too heavy in the steering, more turns lock to lock?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

I have tried both in a 90. I prefer the 14" by a small margin. It is certainly not too heavy. I suspect the 15" would feel better in a 130.

Yes... What is the standard Puma Defender steering wheel size please... 14 inches, 15 inches or something else!

    Cheers,

I have one that is 350mm, which translates to 13.5" and find it too small most of the time, especially when towing a large trailer. The steering isn't heavy, but small movements are magnified making it feel twitchy. I will go for somewhere in between that and standard next time.
