I'm just wondering how everyone monitors their engine temperatures.
EGT, oxygen sensor, sensor attached to a bolt on the head, water temperature, oil temperate...
What is the best way to monitor engine temperature?
Thanks, Dave.

On my 300tdi I have a sensor attached to a bolt on the head and one attached to the thermostat housing. Both are normally within a couple of degrees of each other, though sometimes i can see up to 8 degrees difference, normally as the engine is warming up.
I think the highest I've seen it get is about 89/90, likewise that was on a hot day, but havent had the chance to go on a long run since I installed it several months ago - too many other car drama's![]()
