You've made the right decision in ordering elsewhere. What they tried to do is very wrong.. I sell Fendt Tractors for a living. I have two options for customers.. Choose from one of the pre ordered stock tractors that are in, or inbound to Australia that come specified with whatever they were ordered with, or order 'Indent' where you get to choose the exact spec you want, even down to colour, but have a 6 month wait. Its all a very clear process. I have access to all the Fendt's in Oz, and am able to see what spec they are, and where theyre located. As a seller, it gives me two clear options for the customer. It can be frustrating when I have a customer who wants a high spec specific tractor, and there are none in Oz... Just the downfalls of buying out of Europe, but if I can see a higher spec tractor that's similar to what a customer wants, I do my best to bring the price of that unit down so the customer wins. Occasionally I can change the spec of a unit thats already on the production line, but that has to involve a quick decision and only shortens the delivery time by 6/8 weeks. Not ideal, but handy. In my book the customer is always right, and should never be made to feel the way you were. Sounds like Tombie's suggestion and help worked out for the best! :)
