The people I mentioned, Twisted, Icon, Urban Truck, but particularly Riteway, should be able to help you with the dash?

Thats a very tidy swap, what's the go with the transfer case? Is that the other diff lock switch for cdl?
And I'm sure if you wanted you could make aftermarket gauges work, and be even tidier than that one, the white stands out a bit but it's still super neat.

Pretty sure the abs was seperate in the td5 defender, maybe you could flog that? I'm not sure of the TC, but I think it's tied in with the abs.
The aircon is definitely different in the puma as the td5 had the ancient knee freezers:D but maybe you could somehow cannabilise a mixture of all 3, td5, puma and gmh?
The tc unit in the pumas is the same as in the td5 Defender, both abs and tc are controlled by the SLABs unit.
I know from my research into an engine swap for my D2 that the SLABs needs two things from the engine side of things, a valid input from the throttle position switch, and a valid crank angle sensor signal. On the LS disco, this was achieved by cutting the pedal itself off and just leaving the sensor plugged in, as it just needs a signal saying it's there, and for the CAS, as it was done by Chuck from Haltech, he made a box that changed the rover crank signal into one recognised by the LS computer.

And just in the general theme, the simplest way I found of getting an engine conversion to be happy in a modern Land Rover is to leave the factory ECU and wiring in place, and fit necessary sensors to the new engine. The car might thing the engine is doing some very strange things, but it will still see it as being there and everything should work.

I'd go a step different and throw in a Toyota V8... Those things are a thing of beauty - mate has one in his WB and it's scary fast!
