I had the correct legs with a platform rack and could not stop the rear set coming loose no matter what I tried. I have now converted to Front Runner legs and problem solved.

When you replaced the bolts with longer ones ...did you use hex head .....and is there enough Room to get a socket in there ........I surprised at Rhino that they
Have not fixed this ....this is not cheap kit

We stuck with hex head. From memory we got them from rhino rack, but I don't know if dad paid for them.

I never had any issues with stripping and I cranked fairly hard on them.

Had a look this morning and I don't think hex heads will work. Sorry for the bum steer - I was thinking of what I did on the D4.

Never had a problem with bolts coming undone, but did get into the habit of checking every few days when on the rough stuff.

Out for a weekend jaunt with Martyn and my newly fitted Rhino clamp came loose and jumped out falling down and not allowing me to get the door open. Had a bugger of a time trying to refit them just off the track.

I regularly check them especially when driving over rough stuff. Many times they are just starting to come loose again. maybe some locktite may be the go

My only problem with them was the "do not use over the glass" . That was fixed with a dremel for one pair of legs.

I use 3 Rhino aero bars and once I discovered the "knack" of pulling down and rotating the plastic part of the lower grips all worked well :0)

    Cheers

Fitted longer hex nuts .......( stainless steel bolts from Bunnings ...hope the quality is ok ) ...... so far so good ....but after fitting and then trying to remove the racks ....still not easy ........the "slide down " nylon bit is really difficult to get down ...so the whole gutter clamp is locked tight and won't release .....so much so that I had to use a cloth wrapped screwdriver with pressure to get it to release ......so much for my easy quick fit and remove .............I'm very disappointed in this Rhino product ......seems under thought in design and functionality ........
