For the secondary diesel filter... being completely honest...
It was about $450 clams, it adds extra weight to the vehicle, it doesn't add (or subtract) any performance, it's an extra manintenance item, and I can't spot any 'benefit' other than its good looks out of the box- which are now muddy after a few bush trips.

While I can't find any real reason for anyone to shell out to buy one 'right now', if you were to ask me the same question if/when I get a tankful of dodgy fuel out west, I'd probably give you a completely different answer. If I were to make it completely idiot proof, I'd look at installing a water in fuel warning light on the dash somewhere. There are aftermarket parts that can do this, and I think some of the disco models had it too.

A secondary fuel filter is a 'just in case' mod.
There might be some benefits from additional filtering that lead to less pump wear or injector issues... but realistically, it's just an extra layer of defence against something that I hope to never encounter. If you are one of those blokes who expect a tangible return from your modifications, than this might not be for you. Hence why all the marketing for these things are doom and gloom 'your next tank of fuel could KILL your engine'

    Dodgy Fuel.
That is the question, and how badly it can ruin your day.
I was towing a barge full of Bilge water from USS Kitty Hawk into Port Kembla a few years ago. We had just been given permission to enter, about two Miles off, when one of the engines (GM 671s)stopped. The other soon began to run like a hairy goat. We headed out to Sea to put as much distance as possible between us and the hard pointy stuff that is contemptuous of Vessels and went to the Engine Room.
The Boss, in his wisdom, had fitted Filters such as Mitch has depicted, although they were ahead of the Primary or original Filters. We were immediately able to see the problem, empty and clean the Bowls and change the primary filters. Day saved.
The problem was Bacteria in the fuel which had formed a sludge that had settled in the bottom of the Bunkers and then churned up by the motion of the 2-3 meter Seas.. It had come to us via a 20 Ton load which we had put in our Fuel Barge, and subsequently Fuelled other Tugs Crain Barged and so on.
We called the Boss as soon as we were under way again and all those Vessels and Assets had their tanks drained and cleaned before any more dire situations could occur. The cost was enormous but it could have been a lot lot worse.
That event was rare, but the Fuel was purchased directly from a Major Oil Company which by the way bore the cost. The point is you just never know. That Filter is $500 odds worth of peace of mind.
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.

I've never had water in my fuel or contaminated fuel ever, personally I think it's an excuse from dealers/repairers to fob the cost of repairs to insurance. Pat

    Provent 200 Azguard kit

    G'day fellas.
As above, today I fitted the new Puma Provent 200 kit from Azguard Engineering.
The bracket is great, and apart from one section of hose missing, fitting was a doddle.
    Photos below.

Got Redarc dual battery voltage gauge installed today. Looks amazing but let's off a series of beeps every time I start the 90. Anyone have one and know how to get rid of it? Nothing in the manual

Can't be turned off to my knowledge. It's a test sequence and the initial energising of the Alternator.

Clutch should be up before pressing the Go pedal.

Pat for all your years bush I'm amazed
Must've because out desert country no bugs grow
Freaking tropics bugs you don't wanna know about grow in a scratch on your knee

I wouldn't pay 0.45 gorillas for a second filter with no primer but my 2.4 that lacks a priming pump has loved the Parker/racor priming and water sep filter I've put inline before the OEM

Water in dieso and bugs in dieso is common up here - leave 50L of dieso in a closed airtight drum and it will be sludge in 3 months.

Parker/Racor P4 unit is a nice addition to the 130
Have installed water in fuel and primer switch at dash to the right

Another option over the dieselcare option

I have one and had the same issue. It turned out to be incomplete set up/programming for me. A call to redarc support sorted it in 5 min

I also have the current sensor(on the service battery) to go with it
