Thanks John. I'll have to get you to teach me Linguistics some day.
    Cheers, Billy.

Today I fitted my new aluminium winch hawse to suit my new Dynema rope. Very inmpressed, looks good, and so much lighter than a roller fairlead. It's only 15kg saving, but it all adds up.
I purchased a flash Factor 55 Pro link hookless winch hook (they really should rename it). It's red, so it'll work better.

I also removed the blistered paint around the Safari Snorkel, reprimed it, three coats of no where near matching silver Dulux from a can, and three coats of clear.
Its not pretty, but at least there's no rust or crook paint, and it'll be hidden mostly behind the snorkel body interface. (Mostly!)
While talking snorkels, I purchased Nuggets Sy Klone adaptor, and three port Diff/transmission breather manifold just now. Jeez I like Wayne's bespoke offerings for our trucks.

Im booked in for a heavy duty clutch replacement of my rattly clutch on 9th May in Cairns, so that's one less concern.
And my second set of BAS Silicone intercooler hoses arrived today in a stupid big box (no wonder we get screwed with UK postage rates) so I'll refit the lower hose tomorrow hopefully, this time without screwing up my trimming that needs to be done.
Lots of little jobs but it's coming together nicely.

As for the sound insulation, even without the rear floor covered I can notice the difference, engine and tyre noise frequency seems to have dropped quite a bit, which is more pleasant than the constant whining of the MT tyres. Not sure it will ever be Range Rover quiet, just more comfortable would be nice.
Do the underside of the bonnet as well, did mine as well as the front footwells and I get quite a few remarks from other Puma drivers as to how much quieter it is in mine.
    Cheers Ian

    Hi Ian,

Did you do the entire underside of the bonnet or just the skin? I'm thinking of just doing the skin on mine.

    Cheers

What did you do to your Puma today?

    Hi Dave
Just the centre skin with a sheet 1200mm2
Works a treat. I have been looking at temoving the roof lining and doing that, mainly as I am also looking at replacing the centre muffler with something not so restrictive. How was the roof lining to r&r?
    Cheers Ian

    Red Booster Clutch Servo

Well, seeing as I'm having the HD clutch fitted in 11 days or so, I thought I'd bite the bullet and purchase a Red Booster Clutch Servo from the Mother Land.
These are suppose to be the bees knees re giving a lighter clutch effort, and highly recommended if you fit an up rated clutch.
Due to the restricted space in my engine bay, Ill have to work out where my Alloy expansion tank is going to go, as well as Nuggets 4 port breather manifold, and my Provent 200, as currently, they are all suppose to use the same mounting points on the left side of the engine bay. A bit of confliction occurring there!
I can see some quality bracketry manufacture and extended plumbing will be in order.
Pics of this engine bay jig saw puzzle to follow!

After some long delays, mostly self inflicted, about a week ago my vehicle boarded ship and departed on a nice cruise from Malaysia to Australia. It is currently in port in Singapore. Expected to land at Port Kembla around mid May.

Hoping for, but not expecting, trouble free transition to Australian roads on arrival (mechanical inspections, NSW rego, insurance).

Can't wait for the handover of keys after fitting shiny new plates!

Hi Neil. Great news. I have next week off if you need a hand with it or anything else.
    Cheers, Billy.

And fitted the The beautifully made Factor55 Hookless Winch hook thingy. Very impressed and brilliant service from Snake racing.
