Yell out if your around the Melbourne area when the toy lands and we could do a forum day.
There is normally a early December end of year get together of some kind.
My project car arrived this week.
After negotiating the minefield of rust bucket TDI's for a few months, I spotted this in the salvage auctions. Picked it up for a reasonable price. 2010 w/ 75000km

So my dream of a 3.2 ranger motor is on hold for a while
Now to get it restored and registered.... that could take some time
Then a slip on/off camper setup
Just boring work stripping it back this weekend, good news is the roof and cabin rear panels are straight, sliding window frame needs to be replaced - are there any upgrades for these? I cant see any need for it to open.
Today ended like this:

Toying with the idea, I have to take an awful lot of photos to get it off the WOVR anyway.
Super cheap had 25% off this weekend for club members and I also had credit about to expire, so in a fit of devil may care fiscal policy, I purchased a Big Red 42 inch double row LED light bar and fittings, loom etc.
I've trial fitted it up to below the front lip on the Rhino rack to keep it low profile using two Rhino rack spot light brackets which should cope with the weight and vibration no worries.
Pics to follow, but with it and my ARB Intensities, Wurton flood lights all round to illuminate camp sites and reverse, and my LED head lights and running lights, I should be fine now in the Lux department.
