Looking forward to installing my reversing camera this week and getting out in it at the weekend!
I am pretty sure that I owned that Defender for three years. I think I saw it on Carsales. It has had a few additions such as the side rails and rack added by whoever purchased it after I traded it. I might be wrong but it must have been one of the first of the 2.4 engine units in the country as from memory it was a 09 or 10/2007 build.

I put the ARB bar, tinting, draw system and made a 1/2 barrier to suit the draw system on it, unless the previous owner removed it. It should have a large green "Land Rover" decal on the driver side rear light panel which I put there and I can see the ARB Sport decal on the lower passenger side of the bull bar.

My 2013 Defender is Fuji white, but I preferred the Chawton white for the 2007 model (yours is Chawton white which you probably know).

By the look of it the last owner/s? looked after it as well. Like my current Defender, I pampered it and regretted selling it about 5 minutes after I traded it. That is why I am back in a Defender again. Its like catching up with an old friend you haven't seen for a while now that I have seen it again.

I hope you get as much enjoyment and reliability from your first Defender it as I did when I had it.

I'm not letting the Cook see your post 4wheeler as she'll start saying things like "I told you so, you're going to miss it, blah blah".

Yes it almost certainly was yours by the sounds of things! The drawer system and barrier are both still in, really well fitted and designed too.

It's been looked after very well by the previous owner, who told me he bought it from VIC so I guess that was from you/whoever you traded it in with. He was also sad to see if go unsurprisingly! Theres a few small aesthetic things that that I want to get touched up but I suppose its just all character in the meantime.

I can't wait to get away in it....4 more sleeps!

I am a bit nostalgic when it comes to vehicles. I also felt guilty when I traded my 2012 Mazda BT50 on a low km 2013 Defender!
The trouble is with Defenders, you get to know them so well because of the great things and also possibly many bad things associated with ownership.

My work vehicle is a 2.4 Transit which has a similar MT82 gearbox and it is just about to clock 200,000 km. It has had some issues but overall has been reliable and is still on the original EGR valve (which will now fail tomorrow). So the Ford bits can be reliable

It's on Gumtree now asking for offers at this stage as I've no idea on pricing. One reply already from someone who has no idea about Defenders......
I don't think we're going to go too far .......

APT Steering guard/Fuel cooler guard and Hel Braided brake lines

As above, today I finally got around to fitting the brilliant quality APT gear to my underside of the truck. Fitting was effortless even for me, and Ben Woodgate of APT is a great bloke to deal with. Highly recommended and he is to be commended for the YouTube fitting videos. Makes things so easy.
Also, my Hel braided brake lines went on, (red of course) to compliment my uprated pads and slotted/dimpled rotors all round.
That's the stopping side of things done.
Photos to follow if I can get a shot that shows up properly.
    Best wishes all.

removed the intercooler and hoses last night. bonnet support studs are a genuinely rubbish idea and will be replaced with bolts instead when it goes back together. Hose removal was awkward, not really looking forward to fitting the new ones.

    Individual vehicle build threads

    G'day Tombie.
I've often wondered about that. We could have an individual owners build/mod thread. I know I've been extremely impressed with Mitches exemplary work with his build, as with your 90, and others.
    Thanks mate.
