The guys at Hornsby Tyrepower are great to deal with.

Had a lovely, quiet, less jarring, ride home in the new sneakers.

The Toyos clear the rear spring upper mount much better than the Maxxis ever did. Happy about that too. Not that the Maxxis rubbed but there wasn’t a lot of clearance.
    Pic's coming?

I think it'll be alright, unsure of weight. I'll try and get it on a weighbridge and see what the overall weight is, as I've added the sound proofing all over also.

    Looks great...

Did they have the huge taxes on them in Malaysia like they do on imports in Thailand?

Its the colour, Tombie. (Galway Green) Somehow, even with all the scratches and dents, it still looks good. Specially in pics. Up close and personal is a totally different matter.
(Actually you can see jungle pinstriping in those pics above if you look hard)

LR Malaysia had an “assembled in Malaysia” deal. All the defenders land in Malaysia as flat packs from the UK and are assemble in Kulim (town in Kedah State). Dodged some of the import duties.

The utes were also considered commercial vehicles and dodged a large chunk of sales tax too.

I paid RM148,888 brand new in 2013. Back then that’s about AU$49,000. How does that compare to prices in Oz in 2013?

I think from memory, we paid about $52,000 for ours in Nov 2011.
