They look a shed load better and quite bright. Funnily enough, one of my sequential side guard indicators crapped out, but started working again once the LED's were fitted. Traced and found the rattle in the B pillar on both sides of the car. I thought the wife's side was just her but lubed up the door catches and it all went away. Probably too much bush driving (NEVER!!)
Have fitted LED’s to all my defenders but found on the 300Tdi and the Td5 that the wiring need to be reversed to get the polarity correct. The Puma was plug and play!

    Yeah Simon

I read on the fine print that I may have to swap a few wires around. I wasn't looking forward to that as they are quite short on the Puma.
I re-read the destruction's and noted it was only on pre 2008? cars, But luckily they were plug n play on mine. They look great too.

    Cheers Ian

They make a significant difference and I think important around where I live as we get a lot of fog and with the standard lighting someone can be right on you before they see you, assuming the bulbs haven’t blown or are full of that bulb fluid!

I fitted a RDX LED kit to my 95 300tdi. Didn't need to reverse any wires. Did have to fit an adjustable indicator flasher doohicky though.

Can I ask what the cost is for an LED upgrade kit?

Also, with the LED's, is quality (or lack of) telling on the cheaper ones?

Depends a little on if you have a fog light and want the reverse lamp upgraded. However the last one I bought directly from the UK last year was around $320 landed here. It was WIPAC which I think was also fitted to some special models.

You can get them locally from KLR and others. Pays to shop around ;-)

Mine worked fine on the old flasher unit, but I put the new adjustable one on anyway and kept the old one as a spare.

I think the new flasher makes a difference if you are towing... could be wrong though!
