Be interested to know....although the narva is three pin and the OEM is four pin.
Hi,
Having replaced some incandescent indicator lamps with LEDs, I now have them flashing way too fast.
The simple way to fix this is to replace the load with a few resistors
But this seems silly to use a dumb load to solve a problem.
A relay designed to run a much smaller current does exist
But will it plug and play with the Defender if I change out the existing one.
Has any one done this??
Comments appreciated.
Cheers

Hi,
a bit of research and I chanced upon an answer
Link
From 4x4 Outdoor tuning
It has an adjustment for setting a trigger to flash the trailer tell-tale when the extra load of a trailer is added to the circuit.
Cheers
No. defenders use a 4 pin that is not a normal relay.
Do not get the WIPAC one. Get an RDX one. They are the best.
Also, if you have the earlier panel with the signal signal light on the dash, you need to rewire it with diodes or get the premade one from Bolt on Bits.
No problems running a WIPAC here(in a D1 tho) .. didn't need to rewire the single dash light tho. Near on 2 years now.
Just changed all indicators to LEDs, fitted WIPAC and done.
Note that technically this relay doesnt't fit the D1, as the relay bodies are shaped different, so I had to connect it using jumper wires to the fuse box, then cable tie the relay to stop it hanging. .. but the result is the same.

The Wipacs do not allow the trailer light to work properly.
Ah!
Can't remember testing this bit.. so you may be onto something.
Last time I towed a trailer, I don't think(can't remember) if it was pre or post my WIPAC-LED conversion.
Have a mates trailer at my place ATM, will try it .. has std filament globes .. so not too sure how it'll all work yet.
