I am having steering wheel envy ...
I use the small steering wheels. The momo one.
Love it. Makes the steering easier, without hitting the window......and the car can steer much faster too, making the tires squeal on roundabout

Good thread.
I particularly like the Exmoor Trim range and have been thinking for a while about getting one of these. Their wood and aluminium wheels are pure porn but in my opinion a bit too nice for the all plastic Defender dash.
Of course no mention of ADR’s, understandable being a UK company. I wonder about the legalities of fitting a wheel from overseas...
I reckon you worry too much, the defender wheels from moto-lita fit the shaft perfectly and cancel the blinkers in the same manner as the original wheel. From VSI 6 on the RMS web site
Examples not requiring certification:
• Fitting a bolt-on uprated steering damper.
• Replacement of vehicle’s steering components with aftermarket components designed for the same make and model. ( that would be the Moto-Lita Wheel)
As an aside mine is a 15" as well and is just a bit smaller than the original. I agonised over 15" or 14" and decided that 15" would probably give me the best control off road. It is a definite improvement on the original as it is not offset and gives a bit more elbow room. I understand that the 4 spoke looks a little different but it is OK for dash visibility.

SubscriberHere's mine in the 130. It's a MotoLita and only 14", but I already had it. Was originally fitted to one or two of my Fiats in the 70's/80's and they didn't have power steering so I thought it would be fine. Which it is and much nicer than the crap original which was falling apart.
