If so I think I need to find out more about that wiring harness
If it is an SVX fitment (not saying it is) you wont be able to get it as far as I'm aware you have to be able to provide a chassis number to get anything for the SVX and it is recorded...

Unless someone was filling me with Bull**** Think tats part of the perks of owning one....you know that people just can't go out and by the seats and the wheels etc.
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

Yes that's correct. But if its just the wiring part, then I should be able to make something up if I know what has been done.

Yes it does and hard wired behind the dash. It picks up power somewhere behind there. Very neat. Very happy.

    Hi Dullbird,

I don't know that it is that specific to an SVX. Derek said he already has that model GPS so it is available. It has Garmin branded on the dash stand unit itself. I looked up the Garmin site and there is 2 mounts available and neither of these are Defender specific...so maybe it is Land Rover specific??
    From Garmin website...

Actually - this one is available on line $35. It is not the same though as the one I have fitted but maybe a better option the the other pics if you can't get one like mine.
I will put some photos up tomorrow so everyone who is interested will know what I am talking about. I do know of another SVX owner that I tipped off so he could approach the dealer as he was sick of the suction cup falling off in the hot weather. I really don't think that dealers try to hide this proper fitment as it wasn't available when the SVX was first released. It is more that most of them do not fully know the products that they are selling as many of us on here know more than them.
They could do a lot worse than read this site.
In fact, i was looking on here as well as other parts of the internet before I purchased and learnt heaps from everyone on here. Therefore I was able to tell the various 5 dealers things they weren't aware of about the car.
