Only one engine change but then that one was taken in an out three times and then the replacement was removed twice then pulled it down and put a new oil pump in. They replaced the turbo I'm on my fourth one, they've replaced the whole cooling system they replaced the injectors, airconditioning and radiator, intercooler, and the list goes on... There is a thread about it! A long thread ....

Now at <150K, Clutch rattle on purchase, but not rectified until 80K.
Two ECU's swapped out, and due to this, injector problems, which I ended up getting pilot programmed myself through dyno work, at around 80K as well.

The 25% of non puma owners significantly skews the results and shouldn't be included as a percentage.

As such the 13% who have had engine problems is more like 20%, which seems high to me. Maybe a disproportionate number with problems have done the survey compared to those without?

What do manufacturers see as an acceptable % of engine problems?

To skew things back the other way, I've had 4 pumas, but can only vote once....

    2008 2.4, 80,000k's, vac pump
2010 2.4, 110,000k's Um, rear door central lock failed....
    2013 2.2, 70,000k's, Gearbox/Transfer box coupling replaced as a precaution
    2015 2.2, 40,000k's Clutch on delivery

    Cheers,

230,000km. Broken wire on the wastegate actuator put it into limp mode. Had a split turbo hose. Not complaining.

MY13 now with around 3,2000Kms on the clock. Dealer changed the oil pump for free due to Ford's Recall-.-no other major problems. Always have little noise from the brake paddle and some other parts, but I never worry about them. Because it is a Land Rover and Land Rover should always have problems or it's abnormal. Haha

I've got 59000ish km on my 2013, other than recalls for turbo hoses which I dont count, no issues todate.

Are we counting clutches???? I had a new one at about 50000km i think it was.
