I also noticed that using Adobe RGB doesnt saturate the reds as much as sRGB colour gamut. I also have all other in camera options off, for example I dont have the saturation level set to vivid.
There are fewer red and blue photosites on a Bayer pattern filter over the camera's sensor than there are green sites. That's part of the explanation. Another part of the equation is the whitebalance temperature.

That's because Adobe RGB is better suited to print than screen as it is a much larger colour gamut than sRGB.

Correct and hence why I use Adobe RGB and then convert to sRGB for web during PP.

Yes hard to believe that it was taken through 1 inch wire isn't it.and it was on a really dull day too under tree cover I was quite pleased with the way it came out I have another one too of this bird and another with really cool orange eyes

of course there has been some post process i just moved the black slider all the way across thats it...it was enough to eliminate the ever so slight shadowing of the wire.
