    Went with Tim to Margate and he spotted this Heron up on a gum tree!

    Finally shot a Herron - so excited that I managed evn this shot in cloudy conditions and long distance using the 240mm.

    This has really spurred me on to get the 300s and the 300mm F4 with tc1.4!

    You need the 300 + the X1.4 converter for spring time

    Took the D300s for a test run today... must say im super impressed with the performance especially on higher ISO settings. Now I need a long lens!!

    LOVING this camera! Especially the machine gun Continuous High mode

    Took a few of a flying heron, spooked it when I got out of the car after taking some in car shots. Wanted to get closer, so DEF need a longer lens

    Shots are close to 100% magnification.

    Very good BIF with good eye contact and sharp beak.
    The other ones in Arthur and Carlos Plottier Photography - Home are very good as well.
