The temp to use will be way lower than 0 degrees SST,as you will have ice on the evaporator plate.Most fridges in the fridge section run at least -10.Freezers run at -25 SST or lower.
SST is what we call Saturated suction temperature,refrigeration compressors are rated at different SST,at a set ambient,for Australia it is normally 35 degrees.Danfoss may be rated at lower ambients as per european specs.
Edit,ratings on danfoss chart are at 55 degrees,so that is a pretty high ambient,probably around 43 degrees.
Put simply,the lower the SST,the less work the compresser does,so current draw is lower.Amdient temperature does also make a small difference,but not as much as SST.
So the warmer the evaporator plate,the higher the current draw.
