When I changed the front diff on my ute, I took off both drive hub assemblies first, the middle bit is then easy to lift up into place. Remove calipers first, then steering, then hubs are 6 bolts only. If one hub is busted you can stop there and fit one off the other diff.

Is it easier to just buy a Disco front diff then?

    so Utey,

Can I unbolt the brakes, front hub nut, annd then the swivel bolts, will this come off as one unit, and then remove the drive shafts.
but the question is how do I remove the shaft if it has broken down the diff tube?

    Cheers nAT

Magnet onna stick, or poke it out with fencing wire from the other side.

You don't need to undo the hub nut if you do the whole assembly.
