This is exactly what I have done .... It sad but lately the RRC has been the only car I trust to start each morningI reckon mine needs bushes in the front end. reliability wise, I haven't had to touch a thing in it.... It's on a 90day permit. I'm very impressed with it's offroad capability too. (though I must admit I'm not into serious offroading at all).
So far the old Classic has been able to do everything and anything I've wanted it too .............................. other than drive past a petrol station
Having read through the threads here I think a classic with air suspension would be some fun to own too, there probably too young for use as club permit cars yet.......... Yes I'm insane, no doubt about it.

I learnt something new today ................... Old range rovers don't have any sort of warning to let you know the headlights are on ........ so lets say your dumb enough to turn the lights on as it's foggy...... and it's really sunny when you turn the car off at the destination 
You know, she is *really* not impressed with me LOL.
