TMA, reckon it looks nicer than mine, - the bull-bar is not reeeely that complimentary. (but better in the bush)
Here are a few of my money pit...
Getting towed to my mates place, as his garage has more space than mine (His Disco)
Custom front bar with Mal Leslie prepped 8274.
Snorkel, Gas Research Carb and modded thor manifold all finally setup.

That looks bloomin marvelous Steve!
So, do you actually have an RPO83 aswell?
Pete.
Hi Pete,
thanks for the comments, unfortunately i don't own one any more, i owned a lot of GT's in the 80's when they were plentiful and cheap.
Hi Milld,
no problems taking more pics for you, what detail specifically do you want to see?
Cheers

Hi Steve,
I just went on a GT club run yesterday a saw a nice XA rpo coupe there.
The only actual GT I've had was a BA2 GT with a 6spd manual...I wish I still had it because it was great fun but, I have a '69 S-code XR7 to build...apart from my 351w rangie of course which is getting closer to a goer
How bout some more details on your rangie? Looks like a comp machine but will it be rego'd?
Pete.
Hi Pete,
When i started building the Rangie over 6 years ago it was meant to be a competition capable 4x4, but when i started looking at what modern events had morphed into, i didn't want to build something to mercilessly thrash, so the build changed into a bullet proof tough 4x4.
It has 4.11:1 Maxi's front and rear, the front housing is strengthened, laser aligned and castor corrected. Maxi steering arms, 3.9 running Gas Research on custom thor manifold, 5 speed, LT230, Mal Leslie prepped 8274, custom winch bar and cheesy rear bar.
Things left to do are brakes, electrical and decide final suspension.
To be honest, i have just bought a D1 with the idea of using the brakes and 3.9, but the idea of keeping the D1 and scraping the RR is becoming very appealing to me.
The D1 needs head gaskets (I hope) so i'll get it running then decide to either keep it or continue with the RR.
Here is a link to my RR photo gallery:
