UHF finished install and checked. 10km away loud and clear.
btw, I fit the UHF, the mic and the cig/usb outlet in a genuine LR velour padded $500 centre console. Schmick.
No I didn't. $500 is a lot of diesel.
I used an upside down 10 litre plastic tub.
I also looked for a better place to put the 1.5litre fire extinguisher bracket.
Not easy. In the end I just fit the bottle alone into an old arty round packing tube.
49-353 is looking very bare this evening.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Fiiiiinally managed to do some work on the truck, on the last day of the holidays.
All I did really was put the middle bench seat back in and started on the headlight upgrade.
When I mounted the relays I thought it was a clever place (after a few minutes of head scratching) but once I started trying to mount them I realised it was a pain in the ass. Ended up losing a litre or two of coolant. I guess a coolant flush is on the cards now haha.
I like the velour or terry toweling wing protectors!
We only have aluminum chequer plate over here.

Once I'd read Solidrocks post on another thread I figured out how to pull the blasted windows apart, after that it was plain sailing. Took about 20 mins per window.

Did some more work on the headlight relays. Headlight wiring is done just need to get some driving lights in there.

Neat & pretty work. Shame it will get muddy as.
