    Worth considering Chris.
I have low voltage protected power in the rear thru the Traxide. Now looking at running the power supply to the Kuda mount back to that.I guess its not that hard to fit the Blackvue up top and still run it off the power I feed to the Kuda. That way I dont need to buy their hard wire or battery kit as it already exsists with the Traxide.
I will add switches on the Kuda so I can switch off its power or leave it live to the aux battery. No need to leave the system running when the D4 is locked in the shed.

I think mounting it low will likely result in more bonnet and dash being recorded than road. Having it mounted high also means it can be angled down slightly helping to reduce the effect of the sun shining into the lens.

Anybody got the DR650 or similar Blackvue????
They say you can only use their 128gb memory card. They want $180,which is way overpriced.
Will normal good quality 128gb cards work????

The installation files etc for the camera / program set-up for your computer are on the SD card that comes with it. That's why they say that you must use their SD card. Once you have everything set up though, there's no reason you can't use another good quality card. I have done this with mine.

Also, you could probably copy the content from their card to a new one if you wanted to.
    Cheers .........

I rang the importer today, who is in Perth. They said to call a dealer,I did,The radar direct people. Most unhelpful. We dont discount the price as we import them, said they are cheaper on Ebay, told me to get one there.Asked about the card, you can only use ours

Just rang Auto 1 Cannington, they are listed as a dealer.Got them on special for $369 with the 16gb card.Asked about a 128gb card, dont stock them, told me go to Harldy Norman and copy the 16gb card contents onto the 128gb,it works

This guy does a fairly good overview of what to look for in a dashcam:

Here's his review of the Blackvue DR650GW 2CH:
