PM me your email address and I'll send you the one I did if you want to test it.

Now I need to find a good song for a ring tone that is 30 seconds long and no-one else will use so I can always pick my phone ringing.

No idea what I was doing wrong with the first link to create ringtones, however I did find another link How to make your own iPhone ringtones - Mobile Phones
Which seemed so much easier to me and worked a treat. Probably doing the exact same thing as the first suggestion but I found this one easier to create ringtones with. Net result is I now have my own ring tones on my phone

    Thanks again guys, Mick

How to make your own iPhone ringtones - Mobile Phones

This method works a treat but have discovered the steps to create a ringtone this way do not work for songs bought via iTunes, they only work on songs loaded to iTunes from your own CD's etc.
Annoying but I can live with it for now however if anyone finds a way to create from purchased tunes, I would be keen to know,

    Favourite Apps?

Wondering what people's favourite Apps are in their iPhone? I'm not so much into the games but more some of the work and business related ones. Anyone come across any good ones?

I find Bloomberg awesome if you watch the markets, have stocks or are looking at potential stocks. Lots of down trending graphs just now however but some pretty comprehensive info for a free app.

Also like OzWeather over the weather app that comes with the phone.

    iPhone 3.0, Apps

iPhone 3.0 looks great - looking forward to it...

    The best apps (and I would strongly recommend buying these), imho are;

Bloomberg - amazing, moved it where the stocks app was...

Pkt Weather - also great, moved it where the weather app was...

eBay - definitely good enough (great for checking quickly the status of your watchlist, if you're being outbid, etc...)

iXpenselt - a little expensive, but great spending record...

    Remote - perfect!

Darkroom - allows you to use the camera, but after pressing the button it waits until the iPhone is held steady for a few seconds before taking the shot (because often pressing the button jolts the phone, blurring photos), replaced the camera app with this...

Shazam - you have to download this to believe it...

iDracula - great game, hours wasted already

Toilet Mate - I don't know where they get the info, but it seems to work across Australia, even in regional locations... Basically, it provides a list of all public toilets near you (using GPS), and works bloody well, then providing directions via Maps...

Is it possible to remove the native apps completely from the iPhone or at least not have them show? I like most use another weather and stocks app and am not a fan of items appearing if they are not used.

Another cracker I found if you have young kids is iTot Cards.......picture/shape/colour cards etc or FlashTables which can mean the difference between an entertained/well behaved kid or a nightmare for you and others in a dentists reception for example Added bonus is that the kids are learning and your blood preasure is kept in check as well......a genuine example of technology working for the greater good all man kind
