    Blasted Win 10 auto updates!

I thought I'd gone through and set everything to stop Win 10 doing an auto update but it appears not. (I used instructions from PC World or similar.)

Last night I started running a job which would take many hours to complete (yes, I am running an i5-4460 3.20GHz processor with 8GB of memory) but Win 10 decided to do an update. It must have auto rebooted, too, as the job was interrupted and will have to be run again.

The next time I run a long job, I'll disconnect from the internet.

Now to find out what is not set properly in Win 10 settings.

    That's annoying Ron.

Mine occasionally locks up after an auto update so I have to go back to a previous build to get going again.

    That's annoying too.

I made a mistake above (now corrected) and wrote i7 - that's my laptop. This desktop is an i5-4460 running at 3.20GHz in an Asus MoBo.

It seems that many governments have issued warning not to install W10 on governmental agencies PCs due to many potential security issues.

I'm using Win 2000 on one laptop because it will run with the laptop fully loaded with 192kB of memory. It just monitors power consumption and generation.
